Lund Consulting Engineers CC invites applications for the position of Assistant Site Engineer to work on an EPC project in Tsumeb, Namibia.

The successful candidate will assist the Civil Resident Engineer with the supervision and administration of the civil works on site and support coordination between the Client, EPC Contractor and project management team.

Key Activities

The duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting the Civil Resident Engineer
• General contract supervision and administration
• Liaison and communication with the Client, EPC Contractor and project managers
• Assisting with site inspections and monitoring of construction activities
• Assisting with the review and administration of site documentation
• Supporting the Resident Engineer with site coordination and reporting

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Be a Namibian Citizen or have a valid work permit
• Have a National Diploma or BTech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Technikon
• Be registered with, or eligible for registration with, the Engineering Council of Namibia (ECN)
• Have at least 5 years post-graduate experience in the civil engineering environment, preferably including contract supervision and administration
• Be responsible and self-motivated
• Be an innovative, honest, self-driven and accurate individual
• Be able to work independently
• Be a team player
• Have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Be fully proficient in English
• Have a valid driver’s licence and own transport
• Be available to commence employment as soon as possible
